River Ridge Middle School was one of 11 schools in the state of Wisconsin particpating in the Green Bay Packers NFL Play 60 Challenge. On March 11, 2011 the Packers called the school to announce that River Ridge was the winners of the challenge. Students worked very hard to achieve this goal and averaged 186 minutes of exercise per day for 28 days!
The students visited Lambeau Field in Green Bay on May 17th, 2011 for a visit to the Hutson Center and tour of Lambeau Field.
The River Ridge 7th Grade Health Class won a commercial contest in October of 2011 and six students will attend the Packers vs Raiders game on December 11th, 2011. The students performed at halftime of the game on the field.
In May 2012 it was announce that River Ridge was the National Winner of another video contest. Packer Mason Crosby came to River Ridge in October of 2012 to present the school with an xbox kinect.
From July 11-14th - Shane Sperle - program advisor and the Wisconsin Student Ambassador of the Year for Wisconsin (River Ridge 8th grader) attended the National Summit in Washington DC.
Again in 2014 the Schools won the back to school kickoff event and won tickets to be on the field before the Packers vs Patriots game on Nov. 30th
In October of 2015, another lucky student got to attend the Packers vs Chargers game as winner of the Fuel Greatness Phot Contest !!!
In November of 2016 another River Ridge Student was able to attend the Packers vs Colts game.
