The River Ridge After Hours Program (RRAHP) is free to students in our district that are attending school free of charge. This is a voluntary program and no student is required to attend, however, teachers may suggest that students attend to keep up academically. Our RRAHP staff is being paid by the hour and are only scheduled to be at school until 5:00 PM, so if you are habitually late to pick up your child, your child will not be allowed to attend. The RRAHP staff is here to provide academic support, enrichment activities, and social engagement. If there are constant behavioral issues, your child will not be allowed to attend. There will be periodic updates as we work to establish this program. Communication with the RRAHP coordinators will be important to ensure smooth operations. If you need to contact them, please email afterhours@rrsd.k12.wi.us or call 608-621-2087. This will require a lot of coordination between the homeroom teachers, parents, students, and RRAHP staff, so it is extremely important that your information is as accurate as possible. If your student is scheduled to be there and will not be coming or will be picked up early, email both the homeroom teacher and after-hours email. If a student is not signed up to attend or arrangements were not made for your child to attend after hours, they will be sent home. If they were signed up to attend and are not present RRAHP staff will be calling the parents to inform them that the child is not in attendance. As stated, communication with RRAHP staff through email or phone will be important.
